How Web Entrepreneurs Can Take Advantage of The Upcoming Holidays

The Holidays are a great time for entrepreneurs because of the many promotional opportunities available during this time. You can do just about anything as it relates to marketing your business, service or product during a Holiday and have eager consumers waiting on the other end.

However it pays to know what consumers gravitate toward during this time and also what you most hope to accomplish. Are you looking to increase your email list? Maybe more direct sales? Or simply garner more exposure for a new brand. Whatever your goals this season, now is the time to cook up your plan and put it into motion. See our top tips below on how you can do just this.

How Web Entrepreneurs Can Take Advantage of The Upcoming Holidays

1. Grow Your List -

If you’re participating in an email marketing campaign, the Holidays are a fantastic time to grow your list. Since consumers will be heading online in droves to research, get info on and purchase items – they will be on your site. Basically when traffic increases on your site, so does the opportunity for you to score more email subscribers. However you need an action plan. One that you implement right now from the very beginning of the Holiday season and carry on for the next few months. What you would want to do is look at how you currently capture email addresses and how you can improve upon your current methods. Perhaps you need a better sign up box, a more prominent location for your sign up box or it could be that you need a special landing page for visitors to get more information on why they should join. Anything that can be done now to improve retention in the next few months but especially in the months of November and December – is what you should be looking carefully at Offshore Jobs.

2. Increase Social Media Following -

The next best thing to an email list for the web entrepreneur is a good and active social media following. Since via your Facebook fan page or Twitter account you can easily and quickly communicate with your fans and customers – this is an area you most assuredly want to grow and nurture. One of the best ways to increase your social media fan base is to have a series of fun contests and giveaways. However for them to be successful one of the most important elements is the prize. A good prize is super important in keeping your current fans excited and getting new fans to hop on board. Start with something that appeals to a wide variety of people, is expensive and is something people covet. One item that comes to mind right away is the iPad. Everyone wants one but not everyone is willing or able to shell out the $500 plus it costs to own  one. This is where you and your giveaway come in – since this prize (the iPad) is one that will get people excited and motivated to enter a contest to win it. Also get creative with the contest itself such as having an image caption contest, Pinterest caption contest and so on.

3. Make More Direct Sales -

What entrepreneur doesn’t want more direct sales from his or her online marketing efforts? This is one metric all business owners strive for during the Holidays and one that gets everyone energized and excited about. If you have a good product, a good visitor funnel on your site and a good landing page for your product, service or business – then there’s no reason you aren’t going to completely and totally crush it in sales this season. One thing to start looking at right now is your overall website and how it directs visitors where you want them directed. How are your pages set up? Are your products displayed in such a way as to facilitate an easy sale? Do you have clear shipping policies which is a big concern for Holiday shoppers? Is your checkout cart clear and easy to navigate? Do you know where site visitors are coming from? These are just but a handful of questions to ask and answer to get the ball rolling and sales coming your way.

They say that online business is part science and part art. We agree. However when the pegs align as they should and visitors and sales start pouring in during the Holidays – it’s a delight like no other – for the web entrepreneur. Get your piece of the pie this year by following our tips above.
