Marketing News: Worldwide Adoption of Apps Surges - Conduit Drives 2.14 Billion Interactions with Branded Apps Every Month
San Mateo, Calif – April 28, 2010 – Conduit, the company enabling publishers to distribute their offering directly and through its global network of publishers, today released growth figures for the Conduit Network and the Conduit App Marketplace.
According to the company, the Conduit Network of more than 220,000 publishers and 100 million active users is now growing by 19 new users per second. The company attributes this tremendous growth to an increase in the number and quality of web publishers of all sizes that are now leveraging its platform, including hundreds of large brands such as Major League Baseball, Travelocity, Fox News, Time Warner Cable, the National Hockey League, and thousands of smaller communities in more than 120 countries.

Thomas Cook today rolls out its new TV ad featuring ex-England footballer Jamie Redknapp and former pop star wife Louise Redknapp.The TV, print, radio, outdoor and digital ad, by ad agency Campbell Lace Beta, includes the long-running strapline Dont Just Book it. Thomas Cook it.
It follows YouGov research, commissioned by the tour operator, which suggests consumers place their overseas summer holiday as their most important annual purchase.
Thomas Cook is also offering free kids places, pre-school family offers, single parent family offers, and free meals for kids on selected holidays.

At the recently held Sitecore 2009 Site of the Year Awards - UK– hosted by Sitecore, a leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software – the new Manchester City Football Club (www.mcfc.co.uk) website, built by Sitecore implementation partner Aqueduct, grabbed top honours. The Manchester City FC site, designed by Poke, was commended as the best showcase example of the innovative use of Sitecore technology in the year 2009.

agency:2, the successful UK social media agency, is to open its first office outside the UK. It has chosen to open in San Francisco.
Following two successful years of operations for global brands in Britain, agency:2, the UK's original social media agency, is to open its doors in San Francisco. The new office will be established by Ian Brown, a former colleague of Joel Davis, founder of agency:2. They worked together on the client side for eFinancialCareers, one of the world's largest job boards.
