Wood for Trees, the database consultancy founded by ex-Occam owner and Commercial Director Jim Baggett, has become the latest company to purchase The Software Bureau's flagship data-management software Cygnus.

Wood for Trees, the database consultancy founded by ex-Occam owner and Commercial Director Jim Baggett, has become the latest company to purchase The Software Bureau’s flagship data-management software Cygnus. Wood for Trees offers a range of services from consultancy and planning to strategic data analysis, database building and data cleaning. Clients include Dogs Trust, Amnesty, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Parkinson’s Disease Society as well as blue chip clients from the transport and telecoms sectors.

With its data cleaning, deduplication and suppression capabilities, Cygnus - known as the “bureau in a box” solution - will enable Wood for Trees to offer a fully functioning, up-and-running bureau service in a matter of days.

Utilising the embedded suppression module of Cygnus, the company will be able to suppress its clients’ data using some of the industry’s leading suppression files including Mortascreen, Disconnect and Re Connect, The Bereavement Register (TBR), GAS, MPS and now the Royal Mail’s National Change Of Address (NCOA) file.
