Marketing News: Asda unveils new Asda Magazine recipe website
Leading retailer, Asda, is launching a new Asda Magazine recipe website featuring thousands of recipes designed to cater for all the family's tastes. Publicis Blueprint has led the site development, which features sophisticated search functionality to make the customer journey as intuitive as possible.
As the lead agency on the Asda Magazine offline and online, which has a readership of more than 6 million, Publicis Blueprint was briefed to develop the new site, which aims to enable users to navigate simply and quickly find the foodie information they're looking for.
Categories include "Speedy suppers" and "Family weekday dinners" as well as "Celebrity chef" suggestions. Dietary requirements, such as vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free, are well catered for. The site also offers inspiration for meals, based on key word searches.
A beta version of the site garnered upwards of 60,000 visits in a month, through organic search alone.

[LONDON, UK, 12 August, 2010] – Yahoo! today announced a partnership with leading online travel experts Expedia, who will provide a travel booking engine on Yahoo!'s sites across Europe (UK and Ireland, France, Germany, Italy and Spain). Through the partnership Yahoo! Travel users will enjoy access to more than 123,000 hotels and 450 airlines making it easy for them to find the right deal for their holiday.
For the first time, Yahoo! users will be able to view deals for hotels, flights and car hire, using Expedia's dynamic 'e-packaging' search technology, which offers travel combinations to provide even greater savings for consumers.
This coupled with the easy to use filtering system and hotel reviews from Expedia guests will provide the perfect accompaniment to Yahoo!'s premier travel which is attracting 115% users month on month*. Users will also gain access to a new 'Deals Module' with offers that are updated in real-time.

Virgin Atlantic is working with tag management system TagMan to help it manage and track the online campaigns it has running across all its websites, which cover 25 markets around the world.
The company has appointed TagMan as its global 'container tag', a single page tag that houses all the tags used to track Virgin Atlantic's online campaigns, including display, paid and natural search, affiliates and email.
Veronica Brown, e-commerce commercial manager at Virgin Atlantic, said: We are pleased to be working with Tagman as this system will enable Virgin Atlantic to add, edit and remove tracking tags more efficiently and, in so doing, save huge amounts of time and energy in the implementation and management of campaigns.

The group's label, Distiller got in touch with Mi, following the unemployed robot viral:
"The brief was to create a dark, moody piece of film, with a robot character adding a bit of intrigue. Collaborating with freelance director, Mark Jewitt, several treatments were written and it then fell to Tom and the canny production team at Red Button Films to assemble a crew to help us produce our video," explained Ian Hogg, creative director at Mi.
They used top of the range Red cameras and rumour has it that in the video, Grant may not be all he seems - unlike in real life apparently:
