Marketing News: ,McDonald's : Steve Easterbrook is promoted/ Jill McDonald takes his position
Fast food giant McDonald's has promoted UK President and CEO Steve Easterbrook to the newly-created position of Executive Vice President and Global Chief Brand Officer, responsible for marketing, menu innovation, consumer insights and other global brand assets.
Easterbrook is a 16-year McDonald's veteran with experience in finance, operations and supply chain. He became President and CEO of McDonald's UK in 2006, and added President of Europe's Northern Division to his job title in 2007, when he took on responsibility for Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Ireland.
In this time as CEO, Easterbrook led a major effort to remodel and modernize McDonald's restaurants, revitalize the menu with more choice and variety, and increase investment in staff training to improve customer service and encourage personal development. He also spearheaded work around employment image.

Archant has appointed Mick Hurrell as managing director of its customer publishing agency, Archant Dialogue.
Mick joins Archant Dialogue from the board of London-based publishing agency Wardour, where he was Publishing Director and worked with world-leading clients in the fields of finance, technology, professional services and tourism.
He previously worked for advertising agency owned publishers Publicis Blueprint and Interfocus Publishing, part of the Lowe Howard Spink group.
Leading Archant Dialogue, Mick brings a wealth of experience from a rich and varied client portfolio including businesses in the finance sector: HSBC, BNP Paribas, Ernst & Young, and Lloyds TSB; as well as Microsoft, ITV and Visit Britain. Formerly a specialist writer, magazine editor and radio broadcaster, for the past 11 years he has been a successful publishing director at leading multimedia customer publishing agencies in London.

Marketing News: CHRIS MAPLES AT MICROSOFT ADVERTISING PROMOTES JONATHAN LEWEN TO HEAD OF AGENCY SALES
Microsoft today announces the appointment of Jonathan Lewen to the role of Head of Agency Sales for Microsoft Advertising UK. Lewen, whose promotion is effective immediately, will report into Chris Maples, commercial director for consumer and online at Microsoft Advertising in the UK.
He will be responsible for leading the Agency Sales team in generating revenue for the business and will work closely with Microsoft's roster of media agency clients to deliver innovative, tailored campaigns.
Lewen was previously Group Sales Manager for Microsoft Advertising, where he has worked since January 2009. During that time, he has been responsible for managing agency relationships with Aegis, Havas, IPG and i-level, as well as leading key strategic accounts including COI, Sky, Orange, Vodafone and BBC.

Marketing News: Molson Coors appoints new marketing chief for UK
Beer giant Molson Coors has appointed Muller UK marketer Chris McDonough to the position of marketing director.
McDonough, who currently operates as marketing and R&D director as well as Ireland general manager at Muller, is set to join Molson Coors in June.
He replaces former marketing director Simon Davies, who left the brewer after 13 years to set up a marketing services agency.
Interim marketing director David Preston will take up the role of director of commercial innovation, reporting to McDonough, who will join the Molson Coors UK board.
Prior to his five-year stint at Muller, McDonough's roles included marketing controller at Bacardi Martini and German pet care marketing director at Mars.
McDonough will take over responsibility for a number of brands, including Carling, Grolsch, Coors Light and Sol, as well as recently acquired beers Cobra and Singha.

Marketing News: Renault UK has hired Chris Hawken, as its new Marketing Communications Manager
Renault UK has hired well-respected marketer, Chris Hawken, as its new Marketing Communications Manager with immediate effect.
Reporting to Marketing Director, Phil York, Chris will oversee a team of 16, and his role will encompass all activities related to Renault brand marketing, ranging from national advertising and promotions, digital, web and CRM activity for both the car and van ranges.
Chris who is 44, was born in Redruth, Cornwall and studied Business at Coventry University. He started his career as a graduate trainee at Rover, covering fleet and area business manager roles over a five-year period. He joined Volkswagen Group in 1994 and during his 14-year stint there, held numerous senior roles.
