Digital content agency Zone has been appointed by Coca-Cola to re-launch www.coca-cola.co.uk, its main corporate digital presence in the UK.
The new website, which launches in Beta today, will replace a number of existing websites with a single digital hub, creating a comprehensive source of information for consumers, media contacts and stakeholders. The site will host multi-media content about Coca-Cola Great Britain and the company's range of brands, including text, videos, photography, tools and applications.
The new site launch is the first milestone Coca-Cola's digital corporate communication strategy, which is focused on engaging with mums who are responsible for key household purchasing decisions. Zone's remit includes distributing content and functionality beyond the Coca-Cola website, using social media to engage with the target audience in innovative and interactive environments.

Digital agency, Design UK has today announced that it has been appointed by Rail Europe UK to undertake a large scale project involving the Information Architecture and design solution for a new website, which will be launched early next year. In addition, Design UK will run a complete search strategy including SEO and PPC to drive traffic to Rail Europe's site, and work for this will begin straight away. At present, 54% of Rail Europe's business is generated through its website, and by driving more traffic to it and improving the user experience, Rail Europe intends to increase this figure.
"The travel industry in Europe is worth €246 billion, and as consumers become more aware of their carbon footprint and the green credentials of rail compared to air travel, we want to make sure all the information they need is right at their fingertips," said Stuart Alldis, Head of e-Commerce at Rail Europe.
